Vicki and I just returned from a busy shopping trip at the Expo center near Valley Forge. Hundreds of vendors to choose from and all kinds of product to buy and order. This is a fun excursion — seeing new and interesting things we could bring into our store (after we rearrange and make room) and just taking it all in. This gift show specializes in the country look . . . from very primitive . . . made in the USA . . . to candles and wall art . . . lots and lots of beautiful gifts and home decor . . . and some one-of-a-kind items. We also took a look at some new products from companies that we have purchased from in the past.
We sampled dip mixes at Jill’s (we love Jill’s mixes from nearby Hampstead), and have committed to restarting our Sampling Saturdays so you can check out how easy these mixes are to make and how great they taste! We sniffed new candle scents from Cheerful Giver, and Crossroads and ordered new decorative candles for fall and winter. We met a gal from Bloomsburg who makes wreaths from natural local plant material, and brought a couple great blueberry bud twig wreaths along home and ordered some large bittersweet wreaths for fall. We brought back some wood key cabinets made in Maine, and some gourd creations from Meadowbrooke Gourd in Carlisle.
The hardest part of this shopping spree — most everyone was showing upcoming fall and winter product. It’s hard gearing up to order product 4 or 6 months out. But we did! And we saw some great new product that we are going to revisit in a few days before ordering! We just had to take some time to digest what we experienced in that huge showplace!
No photos of what we have coming in — but you will be seeing it on our shelves as we get it unpacked and arranged!
Stop by anytime, and take a look!
